About

DC Therapist Gay LGBTQ Catholic

I’m David. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy to adult individuals and couples in the Washington Metropolitan Area. I’m committed to working with a diverse range of people, cultures, identities, and presenting concerns.

I have specific experience working with the LGBTQ+ community, college students, and adults in their 20s and 30s. My focus includes helping individuals navigate anxiety and depression, relationship issues, work or family concerns, grief and loss, and integrating identity and spirituality.

Through my work in a community behavioral health clinic, a university counseling center, and a neighborhood therapy collective, I’ve developed a person-centered, empathetic, and results-driven approach. Clients often tell me they appreciate my thoughtfulness, empathy, humor, and down-to-earth style.

My therapeutic style is informed by various modalities tailored to each client’s needs, including psychodynamic theories, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
